Freiburg
Southern superlatives
Freiburg makes not just Wall AG feel right at home
Freiburg is Germany's southernmost major city; it has one of the warmest climates in the country and the youngest population of the republic (age average: 40.3 years). Since January 2005, street furniture made by Wall AG has helped to make Freiburg even more liveable. Not only was Freiburg the first city to install a wheelchair-accessible automatic public toilet with patented 2=1 technology, it also boasts city information panels with emissions indicators, energy-efficient illuminated advertising pillars, and a city-wide bluespot network. In 2007, Wall AG inaugurated their new regional headquarters in Freiburg, a beautiful building designed by IONDESIGN.

Freiburg has the mildest climate in Germany - and wants to protect it
The "Freiburg CO2 diet" is the Freiburg's initiative for a climate-conscious city. Freiburg residents can calculate their individual CO2 footprints online and search for tips on how to make better, environmentally safer choices. In addition, the city is building up its public transportation network. And Wall AG, too, helps to improve the climate (consciousness) in Freiburg - with city information panels with integrated emissions indicators.

Two to one: the patented automatic public toilet
Wall AG's wheelchair-accessible automatic public toilet with patented 2=1 technology was first introduced in Freiburg. The basic principle of this modern facility is ingeniously simple. The dividing wall that separates the two units folds back automatically, creating a single, large unit that provides ample space for a wheelchair. Our contribution to making Freiburg more accessible.
